Sweet Passion Fruit

Granadilla considered by many as the best of the passion fruit family, is a globe-shaped fruit with a hard crust - almost spherical in shape. The skin is of an orange color and its pulp is very juicy, with a gelatinous texture, sweet and very aromatic. It contains a variety of black seeds, which are edible. This fruit is native to tropical South America, and it is grown from northern Argentina to Mexico. It can be eaten fresh, as dessert or together with other fruits in salads.

  • The granadilla pulp, flowers and juice have a relaxing effect, although this property is more pronounced when an infusion is prepared and can be used as a mild sedative or painkiller for muscle pain or headaches.
